The Commercial Score now covers shapes

The Commercial Score has been live on colors, prints and fabrics since this summer, giving every trend a single number from 0 to 100 and a short recommendation to go with it.

From this month, it runs on shapes as well!

The score combines three signals you already use on the platform: how fast a trend is growing, how big it is compared with its peers (magnitude), and where it sits in its lifecycle (cluster). Trends recently relevant in the Trendsetters segment get a bonus, and the higher the score, the stronger the commercial opportunity.

Shape is often the first call in a range plan, so you can now compare two silhouettes competing for the same slot on one score, and use its recommendation to decide which one to develop further.

TikTok is now live

In Europe and the US, TikTok has officially joined Instagram as a data source on the platform, bringing even sharper signals into our metrics and forecasts.

More posts mean more evidence behind every trend, a richer view of what people are actually wearing, and the ability to uncover trends that were previously too small or niche to measure.

The impact is already here: across womenswear and menswear in Europe and the US, the live catalog now has 30%+ more trends, including 40%+ more trends with a full 24-month forecast.

And this is just the beginning: more regions will follow shortly. Happy exploring!

Introducing the commercial score

A few weeks ago, we introduced a brand-new metric: the commercial score.

It gives every trend a single score from 0 to 100, making it easier to see how magnitude, cluster and growth come together, so you can spot a trend's commercial opportunity at a glance.

The score brings together three signals you already know: how a trend is growing, how it compares to its peers (magnitude), and where it sits in its lifecycle (cluster). We also add a bonus if the trend has been relevant in the Trendsetting segment lately. The higher the score, the stronger the commercial opportunity.

Each score comes with a short recommendation, so you know what to do with the signal right away!

The commercial score is available across all main colors, prints and fabrics, for both apparel and shoes.
